Sam decapitates himself
After doing a brief bit of peering out from behind his cut-out before switching roles with it, Sam asks Alex if he could tear the head off of his cut-out and just hide that.
After a brief existential debate about if the self resides in the head or the heart, Sam rips off his cardboard head and – after temporarily replacing it with his own head – throws it on top of a mounted elk’s head on one of the room’s walls.
He then slides the rest of his cut-out underneath a rug near the fireplace.
Alex determines that Sam’s cut-out is 14.24m away from everyone else’s, so he wins the task.
