Mona takes her time
Mona searches the shed for something that could help her accomplish the task, and emerges with what appears to be the head of a lacrosse stick.
She admits that she doesn’t know if she’s chosen the correct tool, but says that she’d never been able to play with one, and so she intends to take the opportunity to do so now.
Mona uses the lacrosse stick head to fling the potato towards the hole. However, her throw misses, and she abandons any future attempts with it, claiming to have had her fun playing with the equipment.
Mona returns to the shed, looking through the items available, and insisting to Antoine that it’s all about the journey, and not the destination.
Mona eventually decides to use a golf club, with which she awkwardly putts the potato towards the hole. After a few strokes, she manages to position the potato a short distance away from the hole and then, using the tip of the golf club, she pushes the potato into the hole.
As the potato is quite large, much of it is still sticking out from the hole, and Mona, worried that her shot will not count, decides to toss the club at the potato, in the hope of pushing it further into the hole. Her throw misses, but Antoine assures her that the potato is technically in the hole.
Even though Mona is clearly slower than Phil, Louis awards her joint first place, presumably because she solved the task more in line with what Louis had expected, instead of via a loophole, as Phil had.
