Kevin actually puts in the effort

Kevin chooses to dance to the default iPhone ringtone.

He turns his hat backwards, and also provides Antoine with a backwards white baseball hat.

Kevin gives his dance an introduction – identifying his chosen backdrop as being Brooklyn, New York, and his rap partner as “the Notorious Antoine”.

Phil also uses the phrase “Allons-y, Alonzo” during his introduction which, despite being associated with Doctor Who, is actually a common silly thing to say in Quebec (similar to saying something like “uh-oh, spaghetti-o”, completely out of context).

The two men then perform an actual (but simply) choreographed dance, suitably matching Kevin’s baseline level of laziness and Antoine’s presumed lack of dance ability.

In the studio, after Louis once again references Kevin’s laziness, Kevin insists that he and Antoine had actually rehearsed the dance for nearly a half an hour before filming, and Antoine backs him up on this.

Louis then observes that Kevin “talks like a rapper, but dances like a white guy”. Kevin, intent on protecting his reputation, insists that he “had to level down” to account for Antoine’s presence.

Louis ultimately awards everyone top marks for their efforts.
