Pierre divides the shot glasses

Pierre begins working through the glasses closest to his right hand, and starts sniffing at their contents, placing any rejected glasses (“no cups”) to one side.

After separating about a dozen glasses, Pierre is shown sipping the contents of one of the yellow shot glasses – presumably believing it to be the vinegar – and telling Antoine that he does not know what he’d just drunk. Antoine jokes that some of the glasses contain liquid that really should not be consumed.

At some point, Pierre starts placing the shot glasses contain drinks that he’d actually enjoyed (“yes cups”) on the opposite side of the table as the other rejected glasses (“no cups”). When Antoine asks if Pierre is making up his own task, Pierre responds that the task brief had not dictated that he must only drink the vinegar (presumably, he was keeping the nicer drinks to one side to wash away the taste of the vinegar).

Pierre eventually drinks something that he dislikes so much that he turns away from the table (and towards the Christmas tree, although he does not notice the ‘85’ ornament) and spits the liquid into one of his “yes cups”. Antoine helpfully informs Pierre that one of his “yes cups” has now been tainted, so Pierre moves it to the side of the table with the “no cups”.

Eventually, Pierre decides that there is no actual vinegar to be found in any of the shot glasses, and re-reads the task brief to get the ending phrase right.

However, he then appears to change his mind, as he begins dipping his index fingers into shot glasses, and using them to taste the contents of two glasses at once. After several rounds of this, he decides that there really is no vinegar present.

As he did not drink the vinegar, Louis awards Pierre no points.
