Virginie actually drinks the vinegar

The footage of Virginie’s attempt begins with her having apparently sampled quite a few of the shot glasses.

However, she quickly switches to using her nose instead, sniffing at each glass and moving down the rows one at a time. This eventually allows her to triangulate the approximate area of the vinegar and, after drinking a few incorrect glasses, she manages to drink the shot glass filled with vinegar (exclaiming “It’s vinegar, bitch!”).

She then continues sniffing the rest of the shot glasses, wondering if more than one shot glass could have vinegar in it. She muses that if the production team were to make the contestants drink more than two or three glasses, then they would get “weird shits” as a consequence.

Convinced that she has sniffed all of the shot glasses, Virginie then re-reads the task brief to get the ending phrase correct.

In the studio, Antoine reveals that Virginie had actually taken the time to attempt to identify several of the other liquids in the shot glasses. He plays a brief video clip of Virginie correctly identifying coconut water, salt water, tap water, lemonade, and cream soda (although she insists that anyone who likes cream soda is weird, and this is juxtaposed with footage of Patrice drinking it and exclaiming that whatever it is, he likes it).

As the only person to actually drink the vinegar, Virgine wins the task by default.
