Virginie asphyxiates herself
After reading the task brief, a concerned Virginie asks if the production will censor “stuff” (while gesturing to her more intimate body parts), before fully comprehending what the task was actually asking her to do.
In the studio, she jokes that she had considered going the more “environmentally friendly” route of just wrapping herself in a ribbon, and skipping all the wasteful wrapping paper.
While cutting some paper, she questions if the aim of the task is for Antoine not to be able to tell which of the wrapped prop presents in the room (all of which are quite small) contain a human being.
In an attempt to make herself a smaller (and more easily wrapped) package, Virginia sits on the ground in a ball to wrap herself, musing that perhaps she really should have just stripped naked and covered strategic parts of her anatomy with bows.
To finish off her wrapping job, Virginie covers her entire head with wrapping paper before tying it off with ribbon – but not before assuring the camera crew that she is aware that it looks dangerous but that, strangely, she has done it before.
When Antoine enters the room, he is met with – as he puts it – the sight of “someone trying to asphyxiate themselves.”
However, Antoine rules that Virginie “almost dying” is only worth third place.
