Episode synopsis

In this episode the contestants must bring in the most beloved family heirloom, blow an egg the furthest from a table, be as unhealthy as possible, do the most impressive thing hands-free, and spell the longest word using alphabet soup.

Title context

'Unhealth must be dead' was the reasoning behind Angella Dravid's attempt at the 'Be as unhealthy as possible' task.

Alternate Titles

  • On Sweden's SVT Play streaming platform, this episode is titled 'Den ursprungliga superspridaren', which translates as 'The original super-spreader'. This is a translated direct quote from Madeleine Sami, in relation to her attempt at the 'Be as unhealthy as possible' task, in which she had members of the production crew cough on her. After Leigh Hart commented that she'd probably started the Covid-19 pandemic, she admitted that she was "the original super-spreader". [Translator credit: DANI]

    Taskmaster Intro

Welcome one and all to the fifth episode of Taskmaster. My name is Jeremy Wells, and I am the Taskmaster. Earlier this year, I gave five comedians a set of tasks to complete at a secret location. They attempted to complete those tasks with guts, passion, and quite often a completely undeserved sense of self-confidence. No-one knows how each other has done. And tonight, I'll be watching what they did, and judging how they did it. After 10 brutal episodes, we'll crown a winner, and they will receive this: my golden noggin, as noble and stoic as the heads on the statues they pulled down for being racist. Let's introduce our wonderful comedians tonight.

    Assistant Intro

And I suppose I should also introduce my assistant, the man who oversees task administration, answers my phone and tells my children I love them for me. It's Mr. Paul Williams.

    Taskmaster's Sign-off

What a wonderful evening we have had. We've learned that cigarettes can kill you; you just have to light them first. We've learned that eggs will break when blown off a tall table. And best of all, we've learned that episode five has a proud winner in Brynley Stent.
