Episode synopsis
In this episode the contestants must bring in the hottest thing, float a brussel sprout down from a balcony, transform the lab while the lights are out, squirt sunscreen the furthest, and paint Jeremy's mother using electric toothbrushes.
Title context
'Heat stroke' was what Laura Daniel suggested had killed Jeremy Wells' grandmother, during the 'The hottest thing' task.
Alternate Titles
- On Sweden's SVT Play streaming platform, this episode is titled 'Kryphål med brysselkål', which translates as 'Loophole with Brussels sprouts'. This is presumably a reference to Guy and Laura's attempts at the 'Float the Brussels sprout down from the balcony' task. [Translator credit: DANI]
Taskmaster Intro
Kia ora koutou. Welcome all to Taskmaster. My name is Jeremy Wells, and according to a television contract overseen by several high-profile entertainment lawyers, I am the Taskmaster. A few months ago, I set four comedians and one over-achieving radio host a series of complex tasks. Tonight, we will watch them attempt those tasks, revel in their successes, and take particular delight in their embarrassing failure.
Note: 'Kia ora koutou' is Māori for 'Hello everyone'.
Assistant Intro
Assisting me in all things administration, both on and off screen, it's my trusty assistant, Paul Williams.
Taskmaster's Sign-off
It's been a night of human achievement. We've seen a Brussels sprout practically enter space. We sent some sunscreen about 30cm across a tarpaulin. And most important, we sent Laura Daniel to the winner's podium for episode two.
