Episode synopsis

In this episode, the contestants must bring in the object bigger than their head that they’d most like to carry for the rest of their lives, ring a bell with the fewest rope-pulls, work out what is in a box, eat and obey five fortune cookies, and throw beanbags onto an island without knocking over cans.

Title context

Rosie Jones sings “Captain Jackie and the hot dog” during the ‘Work out what is in the box’ task, in reference to her team’s appearance at that time.

Alternate Titles

  • On Norway's Discovery+ Norge streaming platform, this episode is titled 'Kaptein Jackie og pølsa', which translates as 'Captain Jackie and the hotdog'. [Translator credit: Jan Harald]

    Taskmaster Intro

Welcome to Taskmaster. I’m Greg Davies and my job is simple, objectively judge the performative attempts of five comedians. The complication is I don’t have a rational mind, being as I am drunk on testosterone and out of my mind on cake. Combine this with the undeniable fact that some of our contestants are incompetent, and we’ve got ourselves a recipe for one hell of a car park fight.

    Assistant Intro

…and sitting next to me, a man who looks like a haunted lighthouse keeper drawn by a friendless child. It’s... Little Alex Horne.
