Move balls from one jar to another
- In this task, the contestants must attempt to move balls from one large water cooler bottle to another, without touching them with their hands.
- The task is complicated by the fact that either one or both of the bottles have had holes cut into their bases, meaning that the balls will spill out if the bottles are lifted.
- The contestants are usually provided with a selection of questionably useful tools, to aid them in the task.
Original version
In this version of the task, the contestants are scored based on how quickly they are able to move all of the balls from one bottle to the other. Also, only the 'this' bottle has a hole cut into its base.
Adaptations
In this version of the task, the contestants are scored based on how many of the balls they are able to transfer within a given time limit, rather than on how quickly they are able to move all of the balls. Also, both of the jars have holes cut into their bottoms, rather than just the ‘this’ jar.
