Follow the scattered audio instructions

  • In this task, the contestants must work out what the objective of the task is by piecing together fragments of the task brief which are split across multiple audio cassette tapes.
  • Each cassette tape usually has a picture of a different type of fish on the cover, and may contain an audio clue pointing them to the next tape they should listen to, by referring to the type of fish on the cover.
  • A fish poster featuring all of the species on the tapes is usually provided somewhere within the grounds of the house, as a reference.
  • A full version of the task brief is usually also provided on a CD.
  • Some of the other cassette tapes usually feature audio from previous contestants' musical task attempts, as Easter eggs.
  • The actual task to be solved is usually something very simple, such as snapping a pencil, or drawing a fish.

Original version
