Paint something from a balcony
- In this task, the contestants are instructed to paint something specific on a canvas or piece of paper which is laid on the ground, while remaining on a balcony above.
Original version
In this version of the task, the contestants are instructed to paint the most accurate map of Australia. The painting must be created on a canvas at ground level, while the contestants must conduct their painting from the balcony above. Some canvas sheets have been laid on the floor of the balcony, which may have been an intentional ploy to mislead the contestants into painting on the wrong surface.
Adaptations
In this version of the task, the contestants are instructed to paint an animal sat on top of another animal. The painting must be created on some paper at ground level, while the contestants remain on a balcony above. The contestants’ movements are restrained with the use of a harness attaching them to the balcony railing, but they have been supplied with a range of tools to potentially help them paint over a distance. Also, no attempt is made to mislead the contestants into painting on the wrong surface.
