Biography

Knut is a Swedish antiques expert, best known for his participation in SVT’s Antikrundan since 1989.

His father ran a country store and later an antique shop in Sandsbro outside Växjö.

He graduated from the Department of Natural Sciences at the Cathedral School in Växjö in 1970. He studied law at Lund University, but then switched to studies in art history and ethnology.

As an antiques expert, he specialises in modern arts and crafts, art glass, furniture, and folklore.

Between 1980 and 1989, he worked at the auction company Bukowskis in Stockholm.

Since 1996 he has been a co-owner and curator at Uppsala Auktionskammare, Sweden’s third largest auction house. He became the sole owner in 2007.
