Marisa Liz
Biography
Marisa Liz (born on 22 October 1982), formerly known as Marisa Pinto, is a Portuguese singer and songwriter.
She began her musical career in children's bands such as Popeline and Onda Choc.
In 2002, she performed in the Portuguese adaptation of the theme song of the Disney Channel series Kim Possible.
Between 2003 and 2009, she was part of the band Donna Maria, which she left to focus on her solo career.
In 2010, she appeared as the lead singer of a new electropop band, Amor Electro, and began to use the name Marisa Liz. Amor Electro released the single A Máquina (Acordou), which became one of the biggest hits in Portugal in 2011. The band's debut album also reached platinum status the same year.
Marisa performed the Portuguese adaptation of the theme song of the movie Winx Club 3D: A Aventura Mágica, which premiered in 2011.
Since 2014, she has appeared as a mentor in the talent show The Voice Portugal, and was the mentor of the winning contestant Tomás Adrião in 2017.
In 2019 she collaborated with the Portuguese singer Aurea on a project titled Elas.
In 2022, she launched her solo career with the song Guerra Nuclear, written by António Variações, and produced by Moullinex.
