Biography

Maria Teresa da Silva Guilherme (born on 27 June 1955), better known as Teresa Guilherme is a Portuguese actor, presenter, and television producer.

In 1978, she joined the Portuguese public broadcaster RDP, working as a producer on the radio show Vozes e Nozes.

In the 1980s, she established the events company Teresa Guilherme Lda, through which she organised parties, fashion shows, and retail launch events.

Her TV production career began in 1991, with the weekly youth show Acontecimentos, Limitada. That same year, she also debuted in front of the cameras, presenting her own show called Eterno Feminino.

In 1993, she pitched the daily show E o Resto é Conversa to the commercial SIC television channel, which went on to have almost 200 episodes. At the end of 1994, SIC entrusted her with the hosting and production of the contest show Não Se Esqueça da Escova de Dentes.

She returned to RTP in 1995 to produce Passeio da Fama, but then went on to work for both the TVI and SIC channels.

In 2000, she began presenting the Portuguese version of Big Brother.

In 2002, she produced, among other shows, the programmes Lux, As Manhãs de Sofia and Olá Portugal for TVI, and Fábrica de Anecdotes and Passeio dos Alegres for RTP.

In 2004, she debuted as a presenter of the contest show Um, Dois, Três on RTP1.

In 2006, she appeared on stage for the first time, in the play A Partilha.

In 2008, she presented the Momento da Verdade programme on SIC.

Between 2011 and 2017, she presented various seasons and specials of Secret Story - Casa dos Segredos on TVI.

In 2013, she returned to present Big Brother VIP on TVI.

In 2015, she presented The Money Drop - Entre a Ganhara, a new late afternoon quiz show on TVI, and also the reality show A Quinta.

In 2016, she presented three seasons of the reality show Love On Top.

In 2017, she began presenting a new TVI reality show, Biggest Deal.

In 2020, it was announced that she would be returning to the Big Brother franchise again to present Big Brother - A Revolução.

In 2021, she also co-hosted Big Brother - Duplo Impacto.
