Josh snaps a sweet potato

Josh selects the sweet potato but is then stumped about what to do with it. He initially manages to break the root vegetable in half over his knee, claiming that doing so had made Tom Cashman hold his breath.

Josh then re-reads the task brief and realises that he has a full 30 minutes to use, so he decides to try to make a battery from the vegetable.

Josh attaches some screws to the two halves of sweet potato, connects some copper and zinc to them, and then connects them to a light bulb. It does not work.

In the studio, Tom Gleeson decides to score Josh’s attempt on him on snapping the sweet potato in half, rather than on his failed attempt to create a battery.

Josh earns 2 points.
