Carsten finds the shortcut

Carsten looks over the flags, and notices that the maroon flags on the line closest to him spell ‘BORDET’ (‘THE TABLE’). He wonders if the other maroon flags also spell out words, and soon spots the full phrase ‘SE UNDER BORDET’ (‘LOOK UNDER TABLE’).

Looking underneath the table, he finds the hidden tablet containing Lasse’s message: “Dette er fortællingen om fem lykkeriddere der forsøgte at tilfredsstille den ufejlbarlige konge: mig, Lasse Rimmer!” (‘This is the tale of five knights of fortune and their quest to satisfy the infallible king: me, Lasse Rimmer!’).

Carsten gleefully repeats the phrase, informing Mark that it’s his answer. However, when Mark asks what he’s meant to do with that information, Carsten is annoyed to realise that he still needs to spell it out himself with the flags.

Carsten employs Mark to assist him in pulling down every single flag and then spelling out the phrase across the floor of the lab.

Unsurprisingly, Lasse awards Carsten first place.
