Wil does ‘it’ intentionally, after a long chat
Wil fairly quickly works out what ‘it’ is, after observing that most of the items on the table are things that one would turn, and the other one is a turnip.
He notes that he’s actually quite good at not doing anything, and acknowledges that he could just stand there in silence, but recognises that would just be weird. Instead, he keeps talking to Tom Cashman, covering topics including sports, comedy, Tom Cruise, time zones, Minions, and the pros and cons of chocolate mousse.
At various points during the conversation, he comments on the problem of working out how long anyone else might have lasted in the room, and deciding at what point he could safely leave.
He ends the task with a very sincere and genuine “thank you” to the crew, and then leaves the lab swiftly, not waiting for Tom’s whistle or looking at the sign above the door.
In the studio, it is revealed that Wil had ended his attempt after 54 minutes and 14 seconds, which earns him 4 points.
