Wil eliminates one duck at a time

Wil begins by determining which team of ducks is lying. He asks duck number 7 if it is wearing blue (which it is), and receives two quacks in response (no), which tells him that the blue team is the lying team.

Wil then rules out one duck at a time. He asks duck number 4 (a truth-telling, red duck) if it’s the goose, and receives two quacks in response (no). He then asks duck number 8 (another truth-telling, red duck) if duck number 2 is the goose, receiving a truthful ‘no’ response, before asking duck number 1 (a lying, blue duck) if duck number 8 is the goose, receiving a false ‘no’ response.

Wil correctly accuses duck number 8 of being the goose after using eight questions, and earns 4 points.
