Lloyd gains a newfound respect for circus performers
After leaving the caravan, Lloyd spots one of the red and white targets on the property, so he asks for some sharp knives to throw at it.
Once equipped with a blindfold and a knife for throwing, he makes multiple attempts at throwing the knife into the wooden target, and fails to do so, which eventually leads to him acknowledging a newfound respect for circus performers.
Eventually, on his 20th throw, the knife finally sticks into the 20 points ring of the target. He then states that his intentions for the rest of his attempt will be to prove that this successful throw was a fluke, by throwing the knife loads more times and continuing to fail.
Lloyd subsequently makes 47 more attempts at throwing the knife into the target, and none of them stick. At the end of the task, he reiterates his new-found respect for circus and carnival workers and, after a suggestion by Tom Cashman, makes an apology to these populations (even including rollercoaster operators).
In the studio, when Tom Gleeson asks what Lloyd would have done if he’d landed a second successful throw, Lloyd states that he would have left to join the circus. Lloyd earns 4 points.
