Pamela’s defunct award

Pamela brings in the award she’d won for being voted Best Domestic Actress of the Year in 2005 by Suosikki (a youth culture magazine, which ran between 1961 and 2012; the magazine also had a separate category for foreign actresses).

Her prize submission is actually met with applause and cheers from the audience, probably both in recognition of her accomplishment, and out of nostalgia for the magazine itself.

Jaakko awards Pamela’s award third place (but only 2 points). Pamela takes umbrage at this scoring, arguing that the point of the prize task is that her item fails to make an impression, no matter the situation. She asks that if she displays the award in her own home, in a place of honour, and it still doesn’t make an impression, then doesn’t it fit the criteria of the task better than Joonas’ Golden Venla?

Joonas attempts to placate Pamela by reminding her that she’s won more prestigious awards since then. Unfortunately, this backfires, because while Pamela has been nominated for many awards, she’s never actually won anything other than her Suosikki award.

Jaakko shuts Pamela’s argument down by saying that if she keeps complaining, she won’t win the episode, either. He sticks to his ruling, and Pamela is awarded third place (and 2 points).
