Season synopsis
Season 5 of Suurmestari, featuring fixed contestants Eero Ritala, Pirjo Lonka, Pamela Tola, and Joonas Nordman (previously a guest contestant in season 2) began airing on March 16th 2024.
The studio recording sessions for the season took place between the 20th and 25th November 2023.
The guest contestants for the season are Arman Alizad, Ernest Lawson, Jenni Kokander & Mikko Penttilä (former season 1 guest contestant and season 3 fixed contestant), Olga Temonen, Johanna Puhakka, Sointu Borg, Elina Gustafsson, Niko Saarinen, Heikki Ranta, Ville Myllyrinne, Viivi Pumpanen, and Elias Salonen.
Since there were 12 studio recording sessions, and 13 guest contestants have been announced, it seems that there will be 12 episodes in the season (with the extra guest contestant perhaps being a studio stand-in).
Notes
- On 26 September 2023, production company Rabbit Films shared on its Instagram account that applications for tickets to attend the live studio filming sessions between the 20th and 25th of November 2023 were now open.
- On the 8th of February 2024, it was announced that the season would start airing from March 16th 2024, featuring the fixed contestants Eero Ritala, Pirjo Lonka, Pamela Tola, and Joonas Nordman, and the guest contestants Arman Alizad, Ernest Lawson, Jenni Kokander & Mikko Penttilä, Olga Temonen, Johanna Puhakka, Sointu Borg, Elina Gustafsson, Niko Saarinen, Heikki Ranta, Ville Myllyrinne, Viivi Pumpanen, and Elias Salonen.

- Pamela was observed to have been awarded 14 points in the first episode of the season, but is shown on the final episode scoreboard as having 15 points.
- Pirjo was observed to have been awarded 17 points in the fourth episode of the season, but is shown on the final episode scoreboard as having 18 points.
- Both of these discrepancies were carried forward onto the final season scoreboard, but did not affect who was named as the overall winner.
