Season synopsis

Season 4 of Suurmestari began airing on 18 March 2023.

The fixed contestants for the season are Kalle Lamberg (former season 2 guest contestant), Pirjo Heikkilä, Fathi Ahmed, and Eija Vilpas (also a former season 2 guest contestant).

The guest contestants are Jukka Rasila, Susani Mahadura, Paleface, Erin, Timo Lavikainen, Helmi-Leena Nummela, Miska Haakana, Krisse Salminen, Linda Wiklund, and Ali Jahangiri.

Filming of the live studio segments took place over five days in mid December 2022.

In this season, the format of the prize task is different than in previous seasons, with Pilvi reading out a description of what each contestant has brought, instead of the contestants presenting it themselves.

Notes

• On 30 September 2022, Jaakko Saariluoma appeared as a guest on episode 25 of Taskmaster: The People's Podcast and indicated that a new season was in production. While he could not give an air date, he did say he would be surprised if it didn't begin airing in the Spring of 2023.
• On 3 October 2022, applications opened up for tickets to attend the live studio filming sessions for the season, between 12 December 2022 and 16 December 2022.
• On 13 February 2023, former season 2 guest contestant Kalle Lamberg announced on his Instagram that he would be one of the fixed contestants in the news season, starting 18 March 2023, alongside Pirjo Heikkilä, Fathi Ahmed, and Eija Vilpas (who also appeared as a guest contestant in season 2). He also shared that the guest contestants would be Jukka Rasila, Susani Mahadura, Paleface, Erin, Timo Lavikainen, Helmi-Leena Nummela, Miska Haakana, Krisse Salminen, Linda Wiklund, and Ali Jahangiri.
