Karri Miettinen (aka Paleface)
Biography
Karri Pekka Matias Miettinen (born on 21 April 1978), better known as 'Paleface', is a Finnish rap artist.
HIs stage name reportedly comes from his time as an exchange student in the US, where he says he was often the first white person to have visited the homes of the black and Latino students in his classes.
Paleface belongs to the groups 'Q-Continuum presents (This is) The Marienhof', 'Fat Beat Sound System', and 'Conscious Youths'. He also performs as part of English guitarist Jason Carter's band, 'Acoustic Journey'.
In addition to his career as a musician, Paleface has translated Curtis Hanson's film 8 Mile and the writing of Saul Williams and AJ Albany.
In 2008 and 2009, he appeared as a studio guest on Yle Teema's talk show Popkult.
He currently hosts his own weekly social criticism radio show, Act Like You Know, on Radio Helsinki.
