Suurmestari

Suurmestari is a Finnish TV programme on MTV3, based on the British Taskmaster TV show, in which competitors perform various tasks that they are assigned by the Suurmestari [Grandmaster]. Jaakko Saariluoma is the Suurmestari, assisted by Pilvi Hämäläinen. The regular contestants are joined by a guest contestant in each episode.

Contestant notes

• The panel consists of four fixed contestants, and a different guest contestant in each episode.
• People who have previously appeared as guest contestants in a season may reappear in a later season as fixed contestants.
• The guest contestants are not considered a team, for the purposes of the season scores, and so may not win the season.

• There are no team tasks in this version of the show.

Tie-break notes

• There are no tie-breakers in this version of the show. Episodes with tied scores are left as draws, with the contestants sharing the prize pool.

Prize notes

• A prize pool is established for each episode from items brought in by contestants for the prize task.
• The prizes are typically presented on screen.
• Starting in season 4, the format of the prize task segment changed, with Pilvi presenting the contestants' prize submissions, rather than the contestants doing it themselves.
