Jaakko Saariluoma
Biography
Eino Jaakko “Jaska” Saariluoma (born on 25 July 1967) is a Finnish actor, stand-up comedian, presenter, screenwriter, and director.
As a stand-up comedian, he performs in Finnish as well as Swedish and English.
Between 2003 and 2005 he became known for MTV3’s talk show parody W-tyyli, in which he played the producer of the main character André Wickström.
In 2004 he starred in the film Uuno Turhapuro - This Is My Life.
Between 2005 and 2007 he appeared as a co-presenter of MTV3’s entertainment programme, Huuma, along with Lorenz Backman.
Between 2006 and 2007, he created an eight-part tourism and food programme, Viinin viemää – Jaska makujen maisemissa, where he toured France, Italy, and Spain exploring food and wine. A book based on the same concept, titled Viinin viemää (2006), was awarded the Travel Book of the Year.
In 2006 he was a voice actor in the film Tallipihan bilehileet, playing Onni.
In 2010 he played the lead roled in the drama series Tauno Tukevan sota.
He also had roles in the television series Mr. Mallorca kohteessa (2011–2012), Paparazzit (2012), and Vedetään hatusta (2010–2012).
Between 2010 and 2014 he ran the MTV3 entertainment programme, Putous.
He was appointed as an Ambassador of Goodwill to UNICEF Finland in 2014.
