The Premium Economy Hooley Dooleys film a murder

Anne points out that the key word in the task brief is ‘dysfunctional’ and suggests that “Mummy’s got a secret”.

In their video, Josh is filming his mother (played by Anne) through the window of the caravan. Anne is drinking from a large glass of wine and is talking to Tom Cashman. She states that she can’t stay with her husband Bruce, and wants to run away with Tom, who is both her boss, and also the father of Josh’s best friend.

She goes on to say that when Bruce and Josh had auditioned for Australian Idol, it was the worst day of her life. This causes Josh to reveal his presence as he screams “What!?”, before turning the camera on himself and stating that “This is going to go viral”, and whispering “bitch” towards his mother.

Anne comes out of the caravan carrying a very large spanner, and chases after Josh, screaming “Give mummy the camera!”. Josh, still carrying the camera, then falls over and Anne beats him repeatedly with her spanner, while they both scream.

Josh dies, covered in blood, and then Anne lays her head on his body, screaming “My Joshy!”, before admitting “I’ve killed my only son”, and claiming that she would go to a million Australia Idol auditions if she could have her boy back.

In the studio, Tom Gleeson states that there was a lot to take in. He asks Anne to clarify which was “mummy’s little secret”: that fact that she thought her son wasn’t a good singer; the affair with his best friend’s father and her boss; or the murder. When Anne confirms the main secret was the affair, Josh challenges her, asking “You thought the affair was a worse secret than murdering me, Australia’s sweetheart?!”. When Josh asks Tom Gleeson what he’d thought of his tactic of mainly just putting Anne in the video, Tom admits that “less Josh is always more enjoyable for me”.

Tom states that he thought Anne’s performance was very believable, and The Premium Economy Hooley Dooleys both earn 5 points.
