Lloyd benefits from his own good intentions
When the jars are revealed to the contestants, it’s very apparent that Lloyd’s is different to everyone else’s. He reveals that he’d unwittingly asked the production team to replace his jar full of marshmallows with a jar of fruit (presumably with healthy intentions, although he has apparently eaten none of it).
However, this choice ultimately helps Lloyd out, since the fruit is much more rigid and also larger than the marshmallows, so proves to be much more suitable for building a tower.
Lloyd creates a base for his tower by attaching a bunch of apples together with cocktail sticks, and then adds a layer of mandarins on top. He also adds a banana to the tower, before adding another apple on top of that.
Lloyd’s tower is measured at 33.5cm, which earns him 5 points.
