Rosie and Jack perform a song

Rosie arrives in the living room first. When she asks if she should read the task brief, Alex suggests that they do “a little bit of small talk”, and she groans in response. She is then joined by Jack, and stands up to give him a big hug. It’s pretty clear that the pair already know each other and Rosie immediately begins referring to Jack as “Jackie”.

During their brainstorming session, Jack suggests that they collect a lot of heads from around the house, and Rosie suggests a dog’s head which she can see on the left-hand side of the room.

Jack then asks Rosie what she can do that’s impressive, and she initially demonstrates how she can move her knuckles in an odd way, which Jack characterises as a “niche” skill. Rosie then suggests that maybe she could stand on her head, and Jack says that he’d love to see it. Rosie then attempts to invert herself, with Jack providing assistance by picking up her ankles, but she quickly collapses to the floor, and Jack then tells her “see, you can’t do it, can you?”.

In the studio, Greg observes that there had been a “good vibe” with the team of two, and Rosie shares that she was very excited to be on a team with “Jackie”, because they have “so much in common”, both coming from “a place of positivity”, and that they were “a team made in heaven”.

To create their multi-headed beast, Rosie and Jack join two black bin bags together, and stick their heads through two holes so that they are both wearing it. They appear to have abandoned their plans to source a bunch of extra heads from around the house, though there is a single baby doll head planter on the table in front of Jack and, for some reason, a model of a killer whale in front of Rosie.

Remaining seated at the table in the living room together, the pair then perform a spoken ‘song’, with Jack playing along listlessly on a ukelele, and Rosie banging away enthusiastically on a tambourine. The lyrics to their song, spoken alternately, one word at a time, are: “This is Bin and Gone. We are so happy to be here on your Task Master show. We are so impressive with instruments, and I love playing instruments.”

In the studio, when Greg observes that they’d just poked their heads through a bin bag and then sang a song, Jack points out that they’d had to join two bin bags together, and also that by the time they’d done that, he’d “lost the will to live”.

Greg has trouble deciding which of the two teams he is less impressed by, but decides that the team of three’s multi-headed creature was more impressive than “two idiots putting their head through a bin bag”, while Jack and Rosie’s song was slightly more impressive than the smoothie. He therefore decides to just award everyone 2 points, and says they should be grateful for it.
