Rosie reinvents Christianity

After Rosie emerges from the house and greets Alex, he observes that she looks happy, and she responds that she’s “happy any day that I’m with you, my little baby boy”.

Having read the task brief, she announces that she wants to “put on a show”, and that it needs to be “elaborate”.

In the studio, when Greg corrects her, stating that her show needs to be ‘remarkable’, she argues that the words are synonyms. Greg then asks Alex how he feels about being Rosie’s “baby boy”, and when Alex responds "yes and no”, Greg asks him to clarify what the ‘no’ part is. Alex responds simply that he wants to grow up one day.

In Rosie’s doorbell camera footage, she approaches the camera wrapped in blue and white sheets, and groaning loudly. After ringing the doorbell, she says “Merry Christmas”, and then announces that “I’m Mary, and I’m having a baby!”.

Groaning more loudly, Rosie then bends down and comes back up into view holding a baby doll wrapped in another sheet, with Alex’s oversized head. She announces that she’s going to call him Jesus, and then they both stare and grin at the camera.

In the studio, Rosie asks what is more remarkable than “the birth of our Lord”. Greg responds by describing her footage as a “bold and fresh take on Christianity”, and then observes that Jesus “positively fell out” of her.

Ultimately, citing his “great respect for those of faith”, Greg decides to award Rosie 5 points.
