Emma’s Furby
When Emma announces that she has brought in a Furby as her prize submission, Greg tells Rosie that she’s back in the game.
Emma attempts to argue that Furbys develop a soul over time, by spending time with you. She then claims that they love it when you put your finger in their beak. When Greg dismisses her arguments, Emma claims that if she were to put her finger in his mouth, he “wouldn’t mind it, and that’s soul”.
Greg claims to love a Furby as much as the next guy, but challenges Emma on her claim that a “plastic fur-based toy” going “dib, dab, dub, dub” is soul. Emma responds by acknowledging that she’s not going to be able to convince Greg, but says that she knows it to be her truth.
Greg awards Emma 2 points for “daring to suggest there’s any soul in a Furby”.
