Emma does some cartwheels

Upon sitting down, Emma picks up the golden envelope and then also looks underneath the cushion, to make sure the actual task brief isn’t hidden there. She then questions whether she’s allowed to open the golden envelope, before deciding that “It’s a task, probably.”

After she’s read the task brief, Alex asks her if she’s ever ‘pushed the envelope’ before, and she claims that she once did so by arriving at a party dressed as Spongebob Squarepants, only to find out that wasn’t the done thing in Guildford.

Emma heads out to the garden, with the golden envelope taped to her hand, and announces that she is going to “push the envelope the furthest”. She then proceeds to do a few cartwheels across the lawn, towards Greg’s statue, before attempting to stick the envelope to his chest.

She has written “Greg (The Taskmaster)” on the front of the envelope in marker pen, and drawn some hearts on it. She shares that she has also put a letter inside the envelope for him, but states that the contents of the letter are private. She then pushes the letter over Greg’s shoulder, so it lands between his back and the throne.

In the studio, Alex pulls out Emma’s letter and hands it to Greg for him to read. Emma can’t recall what she’d written to Greg, and seems worried, stating “I think I was having a weird week”. After reading her letter to himself, Greg comments only that it was “polite”, but then reveals that it literally just said “I hope you’ve had a good week”.

When awarding points, Greg apologetically tells Emma that “I can't think how I'm gonna not put you last when you did three cartwheels and then wrote me a letter asking how I was”. Emma earns just 1 point.
