Emma creates, and then kills, Little Cheeky Banana Boy

Emma’s puppet sidekick takes the form of ‘Little Cheeky Banana Boy’, a bunch of bananas sat in a basket, with grape eyes and a mouth made from a yellow washing-up glove with pink paper lips.

Little Cheeky Banana Boy announces that they are here to tell the kids to eat their bananas, and he and Alex then sing the song “Banana, Banana, Bananas for me. Potassium, fibre, and a bit of vitamin C”.

Little Cheeky Banana Boy then confesses to Alex that he’s developed feelings for him, and wants to kiss him. He then tells Alex to eat him, but Alex is not interested, telling him to “Shut up”. After Alex refuses to eat even one banana, Little Cheeky Banana Boy announces that he feels devastated, and then spontaneously dies.

In the studio, Greg says that Little Cheeky Banana Boy was “quite a wholesome and sweet character” until it “tried to get off with Alex”.

After Rosie’s attempt is shown, Emma initially takes exception to the fact that Alex had been willing to kiss Mr. Poo, but was not willing to kiss her Little Cheeky Banana Boy. Alex responds by pointing out that Emma’s sidekick was a ‘boy’, while Rosie’s was ‘Mr. Poo’, so Emma backs down, admitting that that’s “Totally fair”.

Greg ultimately awards Emma just 1 point, noting that he’d “found banana boy a bit depressive”.
