Tom attempts to move Paul emotionally

Tom decides to try to move Paul emotionally, announcing that he is going to perform the most moving play that Paul has ever experienced.
Tom (who is stood by the bathtub) announces to Paul (who is sitting on a bicycle) “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Theatre de Tomas.” He begins by narrating how his character, Tomlet, had heard “muffled struggling” as he was walking past the bathroom, and had looked through the keyhole. This prompts Paul to state that this is “hardly appropriate.”
Tom describes the scene inside the bathroom, where the Queen, his stepmother, is standing over the King claiming “I shall be Queen.” When Paul points out she is already Queen, Tom explains that she wants to be Queen alone.
As Tom continues with his story, Paul continues to point out its flaws. Eventually, Tom says that if he has to keep explaining the story to Paul, he won’t be moved.
Tom’s story continues, with Tomlet collecting his belongings and getting into a carriage, which then runs into the orphanage, causing a “bloodbath.”
As Paul is about to blow his whistle, Tom starts doing a little dance, claiming that he was attempting to move Paul to joy.
In the studio, Jeremy asks if the dance had been planned, or was done out of “sheer desperation”. Tom admits that it was partly desperation, but claims that his dance moves do really lift people’s spirits.
Jeremy notes that attempting to move Paul emotionally was a tough challenge, and Tom earns just 1 point.
