Season synopsis

The fifth season of Taskmaster NZ aired at a rate of two episode per week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from the 6th of August 2024.

The cast for the season was Abby Howells, Ben Hurley, Hayley Sproull, Tofiga Fepulea’i, and Tom Sainsbury. However, Tofiga was unable to attend any of the live studio filming sessions, so he was instead represented in the studio by former contestants Madeleine Sami, Matt Heath, Josh Thomson, Bubbah, and Chris Parker.

The studio segments were filmed in early June 2024.

Notes

On 24 November 2023, it was announced that funding had been granted by NZ On Air for a fifth season of taskmaster NZ, to air in 2024.
On the 20th July 2024, the cast of the season was revealed as Abby Howells, Ben Hurley, Hayley Sproull, Tofiga Fepulea’i, and Tom Sainsbury. It was also announced that the season would begin airing on the 6th of August, and it was (somewhat ambiguously) implied that it would again air at a rate of two episodes a week, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
