Taskmaster Intro

Kia ora koutou katoa, and welcome to Taskmaster. My name is Jeremy Wells, and it has taken years for me to reach the incredible status I have today. I joined the television industry as a Task Officer, before working my way up to Task Lieutenant, then Task Commander and Task Rear Admiral, until five years ago, when I was promoted to the highest rank in New Zealand television. That's right. I'm now the Taskmaster. Thank you. Tonight I will sit in a chair that Caligula would describe as tasteful and understated, and watch as five comedians perform a series of ridiculous tasks, all in the hopes of winning this, a magnificent golden trophy that took three hours to make. And my head was covered in goo the whole time. And let me be the first to tell you, it was not worth it.

Note: 'Kia ora koutou katoa' is Māori for 'Hello everyone'.

Assistant Intro

And beside me, as always, is my assistant. He has the gentle energy of someone who has either never been in a violent situation, or has otherwise committed dozens of murders. Please put your hands together for Paul Williams.

Taskmaster's Sign-off

That's the end of episode four. And what have we learnt? We've learned that if you meet a man with a creepy folder full of pictures of women, it's most likely to do with the solar system. We've learned that if you meet an old witch in the forest, either tell her she's ugly or don't ― it will work out fine either way. But most importantly, we've learned that the winner of this episode is Ben Hurley! We can't wait to see you back here next week. Ka kite ano. Goodnight.
