Ben uses wigs to give his attempt extra spice

Ben picks the egg up and sniffs it, stating that it’s definitely fresh, before asking Paul if they can do a test shot of the catapult with something else.

Ben watches Paul intently, as he operates the catapult and fires a ball across the grass, giving Ben a rough idea of where his egg will land.

He explains that his idea is to surround the egg with padding and then catch it. He decides to wrap the egg in wigs, before taping two cycling helmets around it as a protective shell.

Ben gets in position, wearing a left-over pink wig and another cycling helmet, and easily catches his egg after it is fired, without having to move. His egg remains intact.

In the studio, Jeremy asks Ben why he’d chosen to wear the pink wig under the helmet, with Hayley adding that he’d looked psychotic. Ben explains there were some leftover wigs, and that he was giving his attempt a little bit of extra spice.

As he successfully caught the egg and it was undamaged, Ben wins the task and earns 5 points.
