Sue apologises for her potty mouth

After touching the briefcase, Sue initially says “Oh god, it’s heavy”, before then actually trying to lift it and realising that it’s not at all.

Having opened the case, Sue spots all of the gloves and states that “somebody’s a bit obsessed”, prompting Alex to claim “It’s Greg”.

After reading the initial task brief, Sue turns the paper around, and spots the additional text on the back. However, she does not find the actual task brief on the wall, instead deciding to search the briefcase, and pulling most of the gloves out of it in the process.

As she is searching through the gloves for the actual task, she says “Bugger!”, then apologises for swearing, before acknowledging that the show is on Channel 4, so it’s probably okay.

She then decides that the answer she is looking for must have something to do with the hand on the wall, and quickly discovers the actual task brief hidden behind it.

After Alex hands her the two cocktail glasses full of sand, she initially uses her mouth to carefully pick up one of the gloves she’d scattered across the table and drop it back into the briefcase. She spills some sand in the process of doing this, and again exclaims “Bugger!”, before apologising again. This prompts Alex to note that “It’s fine. It’s Channel 4.”

Sue then switches to using the bases of the two glasses together as a sort of pincer, so she can pick up the gloves and drop them into the briefcase without tipping the glasses. After agreeing with her that this method is much better, Alex notes that it’s a shame that she’d taken all of the gloves out.

Sue persists with her technique, and eventually manages to get all of the gloves back into the briefcase. When Alex asks her if he should stop the clock, she mishears him, and thinks he is telling her to “shut up the box”, until he repeats himself.

In the studio, after Hannah successfully defends herself against Greg’s criticism, Greg turns his attention to Sue instead, asking her “what’s your excuse?”. When he asks her why she’d decided to “burrow away” in the briefcase despite knowing that the first task brief wasn’t relevant, she states “I don’t know. I can’t remember!”. Greg notes that this response is “refreshingly honest”.

Alex reveals that Sue had only spilled 34 grams of sand, and had managed to get all of the gloves back into the box in 2 minutes and 39 seconds. This gives her a total time of 3 minutes and 13 seconds, earning her 4 points.
