Pirjo taps into celebrity connections

Pirjo immediately panics, especially since her time has already started, and runs inside. She searches her jacket and pulls out her mobile phone, with the idea to call someone and become their friend. Pirjo then once again panics, wondering who she could call, before calling the TV presenter Ella Kanninen. Pirjo reintroduces herself (given the context of the reintroduction, it seems likely that the two women had met once or twice and exchanged numbers), explains that she is in the middle of a task on Suurmestari, and asks if Ella is familiar with it (she is).

Pirjo says that she needs Ella’s help, and asks if Ella will be her new friend. Ella agrees. While Pirjo remains on speaker phone, Ella gushes about how she and Pirjo have a “deep friendship”, thanks to their shared sense of humour and general outlook on life, and the fact that they both always know what each other is thinking.

Unfortunately, Pirjo has forgotten that this needs to be proven to Pilvi – not the camera – so she has nothing to present to Pilvi when her time is up. Pirjo attempts to convey Ella’s message to Pilvi, as Ella had not texted her back in time with another message confirming their friendship.

Jaakko awards Pirjo second place, though admits that her score is “strongly influenced by her strong squatting posture” (Pirjo had spent most of her time on the phone with Ella Kanninen awkwardly squatting), which Pirjo finds shameful.
