Hayley prioritises her character work over her counting

Hayley claims that she is quite good at parallel parking, which Paul states is “pretty incredible”.
Hayley is next seen standing by her car on the driveway, where two other cars have been parked with a fair-sized gap between them. She tells Paul to pretend that it is a busy inner-city street, and that she’s been circling the block for hours, looking for a space. She then gets into her car, and easily parks it between the two other vehicles, spinning the steering wheel with one hand.
For her second parking demonstration, she pretends to be late for a funeral, so parks in more of a hurry, admitting that it’s a “bit out”, but okay under the circumstances.
For her third parallel parking demo, she pretends to be late for a play, and for her fourth she pretends to be late for a date with Paul, who berates her for making him wait “three hours”.
For her fifth parking job, Hayley pretends to be someone from the former Yugoslavia, whom Paul welcomes to New Zealand.
For her sixth go, she plays the character of a frantic mother with a lost child. After yelling at Paul not to move, and then parallel parking, she orders him to get into the car.
For her seventh parking demonstration, she plays the role of a hyper-excited person who “has never driven in their life”. Paul tells her that he doesn’t think she should be behind the wheel.
For parking attempt eight, she plays a woman giving birth while driving.
For her ninth parallel parking demo, she claims that when the car stops, a bomb will go off. Paul helpfully suggests to her that she shouldn’t park, then, but she does so anyway, before saying goodbye to him and imitating the noise of an explosion.
In the studio, Hayley points out that the two cars she was parking in between were moved slightly closer together after each attempt, and that she would also like them to focus on her character work.
When Paul points out that she had actually only parked the car nine times, she claims that this is “bullshit!”, and tells him to count her characters. Paul insists that all of her parking attempts were shown, and that there were only nine.
Jeremy decides not to disqualify Hayley for not parking the full 10 times, and awards her 1 point.
