Hayley attempts to open a lock with her voice

Hayley comes very close to solving the task immediately, saying “Say the magic phrase”, and indicating that she believes that this is the phrase. However, when Paul does not stop the timer, she decides that she needs to get the lamp out of its box first.
Hayley picks up the key from the table and sings to herself “Say the phrase while rubbing the lamp”, thereby again coming incredibly close to completing the task. She then tries unsuccessfully to use the key on the fingerprint lock on the bread bin.
Hayley finds the mp3 player and plays the track ‘Sad Memories, going over to comfort Paul when it makes him cry. She then plays the track ‘Yay, let’s conga!, and she and Paul form a very short conga line together. Hayley is then genuinely impressed by Paul’s tap-dancing, when she plays the track ‘Tappin’ time’. She then also plays the ‘A relaxing breeze’ and ‘Sultry nights’ tracks, and Paul sips his cocktail and performs his glove strip tease in response.
Looking at the first letters of the track names on the playlist, Hayley realises that they spell out ‘Say task’, and so she shouts “Task!”. When Paul does not stop the timer, she then tries yelling “Task!” at the fingerprint lock, the combination lock, and the mp3 player, with different intonations and accents.
When Paul asks her if she thinks the lock on the bread bin is voice-activated she angrily responds “I don’t know, Paul!”. After he informs her that her it’s a fingerprint lock, she ask him to use his finger on it, which unlocks it.
Finding the bread herring and the message “You’re a red herring, right?” inside the bread bin, she uses the initial letters from the message to open the combination lock on the treasure chest.
Inside the chest, she finds the chocolate money and the note instructing her to ‘Look up’, so spots the key for the box containing the lamp dangling from the ceiling.
Having unlocked the box, Hayley picks up the lamp and rubs it while saying “Task”, and then “Say task”, which prompts Paul himself to say “Task”. When Hayley asks if she’s done, Paul shakes his head and says “Oh no”.
Still holding the lamp, Hayley then re-reads the line “Say the magic phrase while rubbing the lamp” from the task brief, prompting Paul to stop the clock after 7 minutes and 29 seconds.
In the studio, Hayley says that she was convinced that she had solved the task several times, and Paul reveals that she’d come extremely close right at the start, but had omitted the word ‘magic’.
Hayley earns 2 points.
