Abby drops a rugby ball into a bucket

Abby initially grabs a rugby ball and a red bucket, and asks Paul if he would like to play a game. Paul holds the bucket at waist height, while Abby throws the ball towards him, but she fails to reach her target.

After retrieving the ball, Abby then walks past Paul and drops it directly into the bucket, so Paul stops the clock. Abby protests this, claiming that it was “only a practice”, but Paul measures the distance at 73 centimetres.

When Abby says she could argue that the bucket is not a hole, Paul says that would be difficult. However, Abby says that she is going to use the power of her brain, and states “That was just a test”, before carrying on with the task.

Abby fetches the spade from the shed and asks Paul if she is allowed to dig a hole. She then struggles to break through the hard earth with the spade, making only a tiny hole on the lawn.

Abby stands a short distance away from her tiny hole, and hits a tennis ball towards it using the spade, shouting “fore” first to warn people that a pretty dangerous ball might be coming.

After missing with her shot, Abby then proceeds to roll tennis balls towards her hole, shouting “fore” before each roll, but she soon loses track of where the hole even is.

Abby fetches a bowling ball and attempts to roll this into her tiny hole, but it simply passes straight over it instead. When Abby begins to say that “The thing about the hole is that it’s…” Paul finishes her sentence with “…very small and almost impossible to even see?”.

After a very near miss, Abby turns to Paul and asks him if he would think she was crazy if she decided to stick with her first attempt.

In the studio, Jeremy points out that the editors had to superimpose a circle around her hole to make it visible during the footage of her attempt, as it was so small.

Abby confesses that she’d been hoping that the task wouldn’t be shown, and she earns 1 point.
