Alex digs his fingers in

Alex spots the balloon pump, but it almost immediately breaks while he is inflating his first balloon, forcing him to resort to blowing them up himself.

Alex realises that the task does not dictate how big the balloons need to be, so only blows them up to about the size of his fist before tying them off.

As he continues to inflate balloons, Alex informs Antoine that the only reason he has never had children is because he doesn’t want to “blow up fucking balloons for a party”, so he’s annoyed to be doing so now.

After blowing up balloons for nearly five minutes, Alex tells Antoine that he believes he needs to start popping. When Antoine reminds him that he will no longer be able to inflate balloons once he has popped one, Alex blows up two more, though one deflates before he can tie it.

When Alex pops the balloons, he does so by digging his fingers into them.

Alex’s exact time is not given (other than the fact that it was under 10 minutes), but he pops 29 balloons, and wins the task.
