Pete frocks up for one of the worst days of his life

Pete says he’s never filmed an emotional drone scene before, and asks Tom Cashman if he remembers the very powerful scene in Saving Private Ryan, but Tom says he hasn’t seen it.
Pete’s film begins with Tom playing a soldier, delivering a letter to the mailbox outside the caravan. As he is about to leave, Pete comes out of the caravan wearing a skirt, blouse, and long wig. In a high-pitched voice, he greets Tom, and introduces himself as ‘Mrs Ryan’.
Mrs Ryan explains to Tom that she has four sons serving in World War II, and asks him if he has brought a letter for her from her sons, on her birthday, which also happens to be Mother’s Day. When Tom apologises, Mrs Ryan tells him not to be sorry, because it is the happiest day of her life. She then reads the letter and screams as she learns that one of her sons is dead. Pete, still using the high-pitched voice, then says “So emotional!”
Mrs Ryan consoles herself by stating that she still has three other sons, just as Tom hands her another letter. She reads it and screams “Not another one!”, before Tom hands over a third letter. After reading this one, she screams and says that it’s the worst day she’s had in a long time. When Tom questions how Mrs Ryan has had worse days, she shares that she is a big sports fan, and that sometimes her team loses.
Tom then passes Mrs Ryan a fourth letter, and she asks if it is from her fourth son. She then opens it and says “Oh, it’s a Foxtel bill. 220 bucks!”, before dramatically screaming “No!” as the drone zooms out on the scene.
In the studio, Tom Gleeson says that the scene was very emotional, and Pete claims that it was a hard scene to shoot, and that there isn’t a dry eye in the audience.
Tom notes that Pete “frocking up” for his film had delivered on his ‘90s comedy roots, and he awards Pete 5 points.
