Rhys hides the cones up Tom’s butt

The first thing we see of Rhys’s attempt is them sitting in the deck chair outside the caravan, and Tom Cashman running over to them from the shed. When Tom asks them where they’ve put the cones, they just ask “What?”. Footage of Rhys hiding cones under the seats in the caravan is then shown.
After Tom searches the edge of the lake, we are shown that Rhys had thrown a cone into the same part of the lake earlier, which had presumably then just sunk out of view.
As Tom runs along the path alongside the lake and through the woods, its revealed that Rhys had also thrown a cone into that part of the lake earlier, which had failed to sink. Although Rhys accepts that Tom will probably find that one, he just runs straight past it.
Tom is then seen looking into the lake by the dock, where Rhys had earlier dropped a cone into the water and then pushes it underneath the structure.
Tom finally finds one cone in the woods, followed by another one in the undergrowth. Rhys is sitting on the grass and shouts that they think there is probably about a minute left.
Tom is then seen peeking underneath the flatbed cover of the ute, but he doesn’t lift up and look properly, so misses the cone which Rhys had hidden there.
When the time is up, and Tom informs Rhys that he’d found just two of the cones, Rhys says “Good boy!”, before adding that he’d just hid them in “really dumb” places. When Tom asks “Like where?” Rhys replies “Up your butt!”.
In the studio, Tom Gleeson states that he was surprised Tom Cashman didn’t find more of Rhys’s cones, since they were so close to home (i.e. up his ass). After Tom Gleeson says that he’s not sure the task went as Tom Cashman had planned, Pete interjects to point out how he’d walked straight past so many of them. After Lesser Tom apologises to Tom Gleeson for his failure, Mel says “Did a ‘man look’, didn’t you?”.
Tom Gleeson states that Rhys’s strategy of hiding the cones had worked well, unlike Pete’s, who he states had just threw them in a ditch. Rhys says that they were quite puffed by the end, and that watching the footage back was quite troubling, because “I was muttering to myself like I was burying a backpacker” (thus coining the episode title). After a ripple of laughter from the audience, Rhys says “I’ve never said that before, and I never will again.”
Tom Cashman only found two of Rhys’s 10 cones, so Rhys earns 5 points.
