Mel provides Tom with some unhelpful clues

The first we see of Mel’s attempt is of Tom running across the grass towards her, and immediately spotting two cones that she’s placed on the roof of the caravan.

When Tom asks her where the others are, she claims that she can’t remember. She is then shown hiding cones under the seats in the caravan, five minutes earlier. Tom heads into the caravan, glances around, and leaves, before Mel whispers to the camera that “He didn’t see it.”

Tom then runs towards the woods, spotting a third cone underneath some plants. He is then seen looking around the dock, where Mel had earlier hidden a cone behind the rowboat. However, Tom fails to see the cone, and runs away from the dock to look elsewhere, finding a fourth cone in the woods.

When Tom finds Mel and asks her if she would like to give him a hint, she says “They’re orange and about that big.” From the balcony, Tom then asks for another hint, so Mel says “A woman hid them. Think like a woman.” Tom then finds a fifth cone in the ute.

After Tom blows his whistle, Mel is seen sitting up in the bathtub on the lawn. She tells him that they have kind of swapped jobs, and that she can’t let him know how well he’s done, because her job is just to administer the tasks.

In the studio, Tom Gleeson says that he’s not sure the task went as Tom Cashman had planned, Pete interjects to point out how he’d walked straight past so many of them. After Lesser Tom apologises to Tom Gleeson for his failure, Mel says “Did a ‘man look’, didn’t you?”.

When Tom Gleeson asks Mel if she was tempted at any point to tell Tom Cashman where the cones were, she says “Not once”, and claims that she “hated the maggot”.

Tom Cashman found five of Mel’s 10 cones, so she earns 4 points.
