Jason pulls out a penknife

When he reads the initial task brief, Jason reads ‘Pealympics’ as “Pealy-mpics”.
In the first event, Jason just starts turning over cushions at random, while referring to each of them as “this guy”. He eventually finds the pea and, when Alex says that he’d liked Jason’s “system”, states that “I just chose different guys to, uh, flip over”. He earns the silver medal.
In the carrot tower-building event, Jason pulls a penknife out of his pocket, and proceeds to use it to cut the carrots, lengthways, to give them flat surfaces on one side. However, his tower-building skills are lacking, and the flat surfaces don’t appear to help him out much.
In the pea-catching event, Jason immediately decides to stand right in front of Alex’s catapult, leans over towards it, and opens his mouth wide. After several shots, he catches one of the peas in his mouth, earning the gold medal.
In the pea-throwing event, Jason observes that no-one’s going to be able to find his pea, once he throws it into the field. He then pulls his penknife out again, and digs a hole into the end of a carrot, into which he inserts his pea. He then wedges a small piece of the carrot into the hole as a lid, and wraps a couple of elastic bands from Alex’s catapult around the carrot, to hold everything in place. He then flings the carrot as far as he can into the field, and earns the gold medal.
In the final event, Jason searches the field and eventually finds his carrot with the pea still securely held within.
Jason earns two gold medals (for his pea-throwing and pea-catching) and one silver medal (for pea-finding), and earns joint first place with Rosie, and 5 points.
