Pete attempts to sabotage The Muppets’ soap Opera House

Aaron begins by asking for a photo of the Opera House. When Pete suggests that it should be white, Rhys warns that this could be misinterpreted. Rhys comments that being surrounded by little bricks in a plastic-lined room feels like being a drug dealer.

Aaron tries using the liquid soap as glue, but it fails. As Rhys dunks soap in water, they question whether it makes riveting TV. When Tom Cashman warns them all to be careful with the knives, Rhys immediately brandishes their at him, shouting “Shut up!”.

With 10 minutes and 15 seconds remaining, Aaron begins carving soap into human figures, stating that there will be heaps of tourists. When Tom asks him what the tourists will look like, Aaron replies “People, Tom”. Aaron then jokes “Soap Masters”, prompting Rhys to warn him that Channel 10 might steal that idea.

The team constructs four white soap sail shapes, using pink bars of soap as a backdrop, and cream-coloured soap as a base. A green bar, representing a ferry, is positioned to one side, with small yellow pieces on it. When asked, Rhys claims that these are cheese.

When Tom asks if the team wants to add anything else, Pete scratches his head and grabs a bucket of water. He then pours the water all over the sculpture, stating that it rains a lot in Sydney.

In the studio, Tom Gleeson states that both teams’ efforts were terrible—possibly the worst team task in the show’s history. Pete argues that not all tasks are winners, and expresses surprise that it had even made the edit.

After a clip of Pete receiving his secret sabotage task brief is then shown, Aaron claims that Pete’s sabotage had actually improved the sculpture, while Rhys jokes that Pete’s impact was so minimal that they don’t remember the task at all.

More footage of Pete’s attempts to sabotage reveals that he had squirted liquid soap onto the sculpture and poured water onto it more than once. It also reveals that Aaron had directly asked Tom, during the attempt, if Pete had been told to sabotage them. When Pete then claims that Aaron owes him an apology, Aaron replies “I’m sorry you ruined our task.” Aaron, visibly irritated, then tells Tom that “He’s difficult to work with.”

Back in the studio, when Tom Gleeson questions whether Pete had got away with it, Concetta argues that Aaron had clearly spotted the sabotage. However, Tom states that Aaron’s surprised reaction in the studio, when the sabotage was revealed, had convinced him that he genuinely didn’t know about Pete’s secret mission. The Muppets therefore win the task and earn 3 points each.
