Kiti offloads all of her junk onto Pilvi

Here's a description of the contestant's attempt. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to illustrate it.

Kiti heads to her car to see if she has anything she can use for a surprise. She imagines a surprise birthday party and, while thinking aloud, accidentally refers to Pilvi as “Virpi”. Kiti herself admits that she has no idea who “Virpi” is.

When it’s time for the reveal, Kiti waits in front of the root cellar holding a flower and her phone. In a nearby sandbox, she’s prepared a tray featuring a flower in a vase, a coffee cup, and what appears to be a Snickers bar. Leaves and other flowers surround the tray. A chair nearby displays a cardboard sign which reads ‘50’.

As Pilvi exits the root cellar Happy Birthday begins to play. Kiti cheers, sings along, congratulates Pilvi, and welcomes her to her “upcoming” 50th birthday party (Pilvi was only 35 at the time of recording).

After Pilvi takes a seat in the chair, Kiti retrieves a Prisma supermarket carrier bag from behind it. Inside the bag, there are a vegetarian cookbook, a white tin, a toiletries bag containing a banana, a packet of Saumafix tile grout, a jumper, a porcelain dog figurine, and finally, a cat-like doll. The segment ends with Kiti snapping a photo of Pilvi holding the flowers.

In the studio, Jaakko jokes that Kiti must attend a lot of birthday parties, since she always seems to have gifts in her car. Kiti confesses that she was actually en route to the recycling centre, and that all of the ‘presents’ were actually junk she was planning to throw away.

Kiti earns 3 points for her surprise.
