Richard takes the methodical approach

Richard is able to find alternative ways to get information from Fred, such as asking him to indicate numbers with his fingers, to confirm the letters in a word as he lists them out, and to act out his father’s job.

Richard’s methodical approach to confirming the spelling of words fails, however, as he tried to identify Fred’s greatest fear, as it transpires that Fred is spelling out the Swedish word for ‘failure’ ('misslyckas'), not the English one. A second attempt at using the method to spell out the English version of the word is much more successful.

Back in the studio, Alex reveals that Richard took 17 minutes to successfully discover all six pieces of information, putting him second in the task.
